HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – An Albion man will serve ten years in prison after being sentenced for dealing meth in Posey County.

The Posey County Prosecutor’s Office states on Wednesday, Michael Turpin, 46, was sentenced in Posey County Circuit Court by Judge Craig Goedde.

Officials state this was due to a guilty plea that was submitted where Turpin admitted to delivering meth to an undercover informant in May 2023.

Officials say Turpin and 21 other drug offenders were identified and arrested as a result of “Operation Last Dance”, an undercover drug investigation conducted by the Posey County Drug Task Force that began in June 2022.

Posey County Prosecutor Thomas Clowers praised the work of law enforcement, stating that “the police work in this case was excellent and it led to another conviction and long prison sentence for a meth dealer. We will continue search out and hold accountable those who sell drugs in Posey County. (Posey County Prosecutor’s Office) Investigator Kenneth Rose and (Posey County Sheriff’s Office) Detective Dustin Seitz should be commended for their outstanding work on this case.”
