HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – A man is facing a criminal recklessness charge after police say he was traveling through the University of Evansville cursing at students.

Evansville Police say a UE security guard had called dispatch about a truck traveling through the campus and cursing at students.

The security guard says the driver kept slamming on brakes each time he attempted to gather the truck’s plate information.

Authorities say they observed a truck that matched the description of the vehicle upon arrival, and performed a traffic stop. They say the driver seemed hesitant to stop.

Police say they recognized the driver as Michael Banks from previous runs.

During the booking process at the Vanderburgh County Confinement Center, one of the jailers found a pill that is believed to be Paroxetine.

Banks was booked with criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and trafficking with an inmate.
