    Daviess Co. multi-theft suspect in custody after vehicle pursuit

    HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – A burglary suspect is behind bars after a two day search comes to an end in Daviess County.

    The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office says Scottie Brooks was arrested Friday morning after being connected to several thefts and burglaries in the Yelvington area.

    Deputies say they attempted to arrest Brooks on Wednesday on several warrants.

    When they approached his home, deputies say Brooks ran into a wooded area and could not be found.

    On Friday morning, detectives say they say Brooks pull out of his driveway and a pursuit began. Authorities say Brooks ran from his vehicle but was eventually located.

    Brooks is being held in the Daviess County Jail on the following charges:

    • Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree (2 counts)
    • Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree (Police Officer)
    • Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Degree
    • Fleeing or Evading Police 2nd Degree
    • Disregarding Stop Sign
    • Failure To or Improper Signal (2 counts)
    • Failure to Wear Seatbelts
    • Criminal Trespassing 2nd Degree
    • Burglary 3rd Degree
    • Tamping with Physical Evidence
    • Failure to Appear Bench Warrants (3 counts)
    • Failure to Pay Fine Bench Warrant

    DCSO say additional charges are expected as the investigation continues.
