WARRICK COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) — Plans for a new sports complex in Warrick County have the stamp of approval from the Board of Zoning Appeals.

Designers gave the board a more detailed look at what this new sports complex and family entertainment center could look like. Located on the east side of Epworth, the facility will encompass 72 acres of farmland. It will feature full size basketball courts that can convert into volleyball courts, and courts that can transition into turf.

Board members received renderings tonight of what it could look like, including schematics for an offset roundabout near Vann Road.

“It will be good for kids in Warrick County, especially the sports complex. I think it will help out a lot for the kids who are not on teams in schools,” says Terry Dayvolt, the Board of Warrick County Board of Zoning Appeals chairman.

Officials tell us there are still several steps that need to be taken before final approval is given. There is no timeline for when potential construction could begin.
