    State of the art indoor sports complex breaks ground in Owensboro

    OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) – Ground has officially broken on the upcoming indoor sports complex in Owensboro.

    City officials held a ceremony Wednesday morning on Cedar Street.

    The new facility will feature one turf court and five basketball courts, all of which are adaptable for other sports.

    Officials say the complex is set to become a hub for sports in the community, and attract regional and national events.

    The facility is expected to be finished by June 2026.
