    Suspect in custody after shots fired call near Angel Mounds

    EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – A suspect is in custody after a shots fired call came near Angel Mounds boat ramp in the 4200 block of Lynn Road.

    The Vanderburgh County Sheriff, Noah Robinson, says the incident occurred at a river camp.

    Deputies say they were responding to a battery case when the alleged shots were fired. They tell us one vehicle was struck by a bullet and a one person was injured in a fight.

    Deputies also say they majority of the incident happened in a vehicle. We’re told a suspect was detained during a traffic stop in Evansville.

    Detectives are currently conducting interviews and collecting evidence at this time.
