    Animal hit-and-run reported in Evansville

    HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Evansville Police responded to a hit-and-run involving a family dog on Walnut Street late Saturday night.

    According to a report from EPD, the caller was walking their family dog on the 400 block of Walnut Street when a dark colored vehicle allegedly drove up the curb and struck the dog.

    It is said the dog did not survive.

    The report says the driver fled the scene going south of Governor Street.

    The family was given a case number and no arrests have been made at this time.
