Man in custody after police in standoff in Evansville

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — An Eyewitness News crew has confirmed a man is in custody after a standoff on Jefferson Avenue in Evansville.

Nicholas Young was arrested at the scene after coming out if a home on the 800 block of Jefferson Avenue Friday. Young surrendered without incident after police say they called for him to come out of the home multiple times.

Police say they were trying to serve a petition to revoke warrant. They also say the standoff lasted around two and a half hours.
