NOCO Humane Waving Adoption Fees To Address Overcrowding
Last month, more than 900 animals arrived at NOCO Humane campuses and, in response, they’re waving pet adoption fees for all animals at both Larimer and Weld shelter campuses to address overcrowding. The Greeley Tribune reports nearly 400 of those animals, including 154 dogs, 172 cats and 60 critters found new homes in four weeks, but 462 unhoused animals still require care under NOCO Humane’s roofs. In addition, the Weld campus struggles with staffing shortages and spikes in illnesses due to a lack of physical space.

Colorado State has earned three awards – a gold, a silver and a bronze – in a national competition hosted by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
