Fire destroys restaurant, hall on West Side; firefighter injured
CLEVELAND, Ohio — A fire at a restaurant and hall on the West Side rekindled after it was initially controlled, destroying the building and injuring a firefighter. According to the city fire department, the blaze first started in the restaurant, reportedly Gargano’s, located near the intersection of West 25th Street and Marvin Avenue in the Clark-Fulton neighborhood. There were no injuries to people who were in the restaurant.

Pedestrian Struck on I-77, New Philadelphia Patrol Investigating
The State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal incident on I-77 south. The accident occurred near bolivar Sunday morning involving a pedestrian who was struck and killed. New Philadelphia post trooper Roy Beach says the victim, 34-year-old Jonathan Mandala of Akron, apparently walked onto the highway from the right side of the lanes and was hit by a flatbed truck just before 10 a.m.
