A commercial property in West Babylon has sold for $2.25 million.

749 Route 109 LLC, an affiliate of a furniture retailer and wholesaler, purchased the 11,517-square-foot building on .40 acres at 749 Route 109.

The buyer plans on using the property as a furniture showroom. It was formerly occupied by a business selling liquidation inventory.

The building had been leased last fall to a tenant who planned on converting the property into a specialty food market, but the project never came to fruition.

Dennis McCoy of DGNY Commercial represented the buyer, while Luciano Oliverio and Gary Chimeri of Paramount Properties Group represented the seller, 749 RLTY LLC, in the sales transaction.
