Alabama man charged with murdering wife, four young children, state police said

An Alabama husband and father has been charged with murdering his wife and four young children, including two of his own children, state police said Friday.

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency investigators said Brandon Kendrick, 32, of West Blocton, fatally shot a 2-year-old, two 6-year-olds and a 9-year-old, along with his 24-year-old wife, Kelsey Kendrick.

Of the four juveniles, two were Kendrick’s children, and the other two were relatives.

Brandon Kendrick was arrested and has been formally charged with five counts of Capital Murder. Kendrick has been booked into the Bibb County Jail with no bond.

Nothing further is available as the investigation remains ongoing. Once complete, the findings will be turned over to Alabama’s 4th Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office.
