She has more than two decades of experience in education, corrections and workforce development. In the Adult Education and Literacy component of her new job, Frederickson said there are more than 80 instructors who work with adult students in HiSET, non-credit English Language Learning, Integrated Education and Training, and DMACC’s Adult Literacy Center. DCG Wins Thriller on Senior Night
Dallas Center – Grimes girls softball was on the diamond for senior night in Dallas Center as they honored thirteen seniors across the program, then it was senior Aubrey Johansen who was able to make the big hit as she hit a three run double in the bottom of the sixth inning to complete a six run sixth inning and finish a wild DCG comeback win over Oskaloosa 7-4. Timberline Teacher Named Iowa P.E. Teacher of the Year
“I’m truly honored and excited to receive this award. It means a lot to be recognized for something I’m so passionate about,” Christensen says. Since 1982, the P.E. Teacher of the Year awards have honored educators for the “contributions that have been made to their profession and the Iowans they teach,” according to the SHAPE website. Christensen is only the second Waukee CSD employee to win the award.
