MM 7.31: Maryland volleyball solidifies nonconference schedule
Maryland volleyball has finalized its nonconference schedule for the 2024 season, the team announced Tuesday. The Terps will play 11 nonconference opponents this season in addition to their 20 Big Ten contests. Their nonconference play begins with a tournament in Baton Rouge, La., hosted by LSU, where they will face Troy, LSU and New Hampshire.
Tennis court improvements coming to Woodley Hills
The decaying tennis courts at Woodley Hills Park in Mount Vernon will soon undergo a complete renovation. According to a recent news item from Fairfax County, the Fairfax County Park Authority (FCPA) plans to make substantial repairs to both courts, including crack and crevice filling, installation of new fencing and a complete construction-level repair. The $204,000 project will be paid for using American Rescue Plan Act funds, said FCPA spokesperson Ben Boxer.
