BC Parks provides clearer timeline for Othello Tunnels opening in Hope
BC Parks has provided a clearer timeline for the partial opening of the Othello Tunnels in Hope and says it will reopen in mid-August. The government responded to a request from the Hope Standard on July 17, explaining the newest delays in having the park opened after the damage from the 2021 November floods.
UPDATED: Arkadelphia city board gives Good Ole Boys nod to rezone planned subdivision
In an extremely brief meeting Tuesday evening, the Arkadelphia Board of Directors approved a new residential area for the city. City Manager Gary Brinkley said the Planning and Zoning Committee had, on Monday, approved the addition of 31.72 acres off of W.P. Malone Drive north of Arkadelphia High School. Known as South Ridge Crossing, the residential area will be zoned R-1 for housing.
100 year flooding event hits Yellville

Tyson Foods heir pleads not guilty to charge of driving while intoxicated
Tyson, 34, was arrested June 13 by University of Arkansas police in Fayetteville after he was seen driving carelessly and making an illegal turn. He was released from custody the same day on a $1,105 bond.
