Fire in North Little Rock leaves large cloud of smoke
NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The North Little Rock Fire Department is currently at the scene of a fire that happened on Monday evening. According to reports, the NLRFD said the call of a fire at a home in the 6500 block of Corisca Drive came in at around 8:45 p.m. Crews have since been able to extinguish the fire and officials say that no one was home at the time of the fire.
University of Arkansas system president Donald Bobbitt announces retirement
University of Arkansas System President Donald Bobbitt has announced plans to retire after nearly 13 years of leading the university system. Bobbitt informed the system board of his decision this week, according to a news release. His retirement will be effective Jan. 15, 2025, or earlier if a successor is selected before that date.
