Suspect shoots at officers in West Jordan domestic violence incident, chase ensues

WEST JORDAN, Utah ( ABC4 ) — A suspect is in the hospital after officers responded to a domestic violence incident, which then turned into an officer-involved shooting Friday night, according to West Jordan Police.

Upon police arrival at a West Jordan residence, a suspect in a domestic violence incident began firing at officers. The suspect reportedly then got into a vehicle and fled the scene as officers pursued.

The suspect continued shooting at officers during the chase, police said, which then came to an end at 9600 South.

The suspect was taken to the hospital after the incident. Their injuries are unclear at this time.

1300 West between 9800 South and 9000 South is currently closed.

No officers were injured in the shooting.
