If you notice your shirt sticking to your back this week, know you're not alone.

The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory Monday morning that extends into northern Tippecanoe County and lasts until Monday evening. The NWS advises folk to monitor for additional heat warnings.

Much of the Midwest, Great Lakes, Northeast and Mid-Atlantic will be hit with a historic heat wave the rest of the week, with feels-like temperatures around 100 forecasted for West Lafayette by the NWS.

The last time temperatures were in the mid-90's for a week in June in Central Indiana, according to a NWS Indianapolis tweet, was in the mid-90s – 1994 was the last year with comparable heat this time of year.

Tippecanoe County is forecasted for temperature above 90 degrees from Monday through Saturday. Especially of note is that temperatures will stay high even into the night, with lows forecasted above 70 degrees until Sunday.
