WEST LAFAYETTE — Purdue women's basketball announced Tuesday it will host in-state rival Notre Dame at Mackey Arena on Sunday, Nov. 10 at a time to be determined later.

The announcement marks the first time the Boilermakers will square off against the Fighting Irish on their home court since 2011.

Purdue holds a 14-14 record overall against Notre Dame but hasn't beaten the Irish since Dec. 7, 2005, at home.

Notre Dame has won nine straight since, including a 76-39 hammering last season against Purdue on a night Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame coach Muffet McGraw had a statue unveiling outside Purcell Pavilion in South Bend.

Purdue returns Big Ten Conference Freshman First Team member Rashunda Jones (7.8 PPG, 2.3 RPG) and key sophomore Sophie Swanson (7.1 PPG, 39.4% 3-point).

The Boilermakers made transfer portal additions led WAC Defensive Player of the Year Destini Lombard from Stephen F. Austin (10.1 PPG, 4.2 RPG, 4.0 APG, 2.6 SPG), All-MAC Second Team member Reagan Bass from Akron (16.4 PPG, 9.9 RPG), NAIA two-time Player of the Year Ella Collier from Marian University, where she averaged 16.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals while shooting 54.4% from the field, 45.9% from 3-point range for her career.

Top freshmen for the Boilermakers include ESPN top 50 recruit Jordyn Poole from Fort Wayne Snider, New Hampshire two-sport Gatorade Player of the Year Lana McCarthy and former top 100 ESPN recruit Amiyah Reynolds, who will return to the court after being sidelined last season while recovering from foot surgery.

Notre Dame returns first-team All-American, ACC Tournament MVP and All-ACC First team member Hannah Hidalgo. She led the nation with 4.6 steals per game and averaged 22.6 points, and she holds the Fighting Irish's freshman single-game scoring record.
