Tractor Supply sets opening date for Lower Burrell store
The gears for a Tractor Supply store in Lower Burrell are in motion. Annalee Rivers, a spokeswoman for Tractor Supply, said the company plans to open a store there in November 2025. City Manager Greg Primm identified the location as 108 Greensburg Road. It is a vacant, wooded lot next to a Family Dollar store in the Kinloch section of the city.

Rumble Car Show returns to Mars this weekend
After spending last year in Saxonburg, the Rumble Car Show is returning home to downtown Mars for its fifth installment on Saturday, July 27, from noon to 7 p.m. The show, says organizer John Podolak, has grown “bigger and better” each year since its inception on the streets of Mars in 2019, hosting more than 1,000 vehicles on multiple occasions and practically shutting down the borough. Visitors have come to Rumble from as far away as Texas to show off their classic cars and motorcycles.

Protect PT, a local environmental nonprofit, is spearheading an EPA-funded air monitoring study to assess the air quality and health impacts around the Plum Injection Well in Plum, PA. Edgewater Overlook in Oakmont was filled with laughter, songs and bleating on Friday as Oakmont Carnegie Library hosted the borough’s second annual Meet and Bleat. Children were invited to the event to listen to a book reading and meet the goats from Capricious Goats LLC, the goats hired to help maintain overgrown vegetation along the borough’s Allegheny River bank.
