WEST LEYDEN NEWS: A trunk sale and church history
The West Leyden Reformed Church, located at 1195 State Route 26 next to the Hilltop Market, is sponsoring a Community Trunk Sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 13. In addition to the trunk sale, there will be a bake sale, chance auction, free ice cream sundaes, mission raffle tickets, cookbooks, fabric, yarn and collectibles for sale. The drawings for the chance auction will begin at 4 p.m. Proceeds from the event will benefit the church’s fuel fund.
North Country resident charged with child endangerment in Lewis County, Troopers say
DIANA- A local North Country resident is accused of endangering the welfare of a child in Lewis County, authorities say. Dillon J. Tristram, 33, of Harrisville, NY was arrested and formally charged by the New York State Police (Watertown) for one misdemeanor count of acting in a manner injurious to a child (under the age of 17).
