    Eugenia Claire Rundles

    November 12, 1932 – May 31, 2024 - Eugenia Claire Rundles fondly known as E.Claire peacefully passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024 in West Linn Oregon. She is survived by her husband John Rundles and sister Camille Ortiz, daughters Deborah Metcalf, Lori Rundles and Jeanne Rundles. She was blessed to have two grandchildren Rhett Metcalf and Lauren Metcalf as well as five great grandchildren.

    Claire was born in San Francisco California, studied at the University and was enrolled in the San Francisco Ballet Company. She lived in a small Italian community who had come to America from Genoa Italy. Her grandfather was in the Navy and stationed at Pearl Harbor Hawaii. Fate would have it while she her mother and sister were visiting her grandparents the island was bombed on December 6th. Her family was whisked away during the night to the mainland and returned to San Francisco.

    She met and married the love of her life John Rundles in Las Vegas and moved with him to Redlands where they raised their family. Claire finally settled in Lake Oswego Oregon with her husband John to be close to her two grandchildren. She joined the Lake Bible church family and became very involved in serving the Lord in children’s ministry and women’s Bible study. She is remembered as being extremely patient and slow to anger, and she will be greatly missed.

    Memorial service will be held at Lake Bible Church in Lake Oswego June 22, 2024 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to American Bible Society or Meals on Wheels Lake Oswego two of her favorite charities.
