Owensboro getting ready for 4th of July fireworks
OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEVV) — City of Owensboro continues to get ready for Thursday night's fireworks. The All American Fourth of July will take place throughout the city of Owensboro. Festivities kick off at 4PM at the Owensboro Convention Center with 4th Fest, presented by Kentucky Legend. Family friendly activities, along with food and the ability to view the fireworks from the Kentucky Legend Pier or Exhibit Hall Terrace for additional costs. Parking for the event is $10 dollars.
Sinkhole to close KY 250 in McLean County
HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is closing KY 250 in McLean County to repair damage caused by a sinkhole. Officials with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet say KY 250 will close at the 6.7-mile point in McLean County on Tuesday. Officials say these repairs will last 24 Hours. EYEWITNESS NEWS. Fireworks at Yellow Creek Park on Friday, July 5th
OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEVV)— Daviess County Parks & Recreation will celebrate America with a large fireworks display at Yellow Creek Park on Friday, July 5. The German American Bank Fireworks Festival begins at 5 p.m. with food trucks, kids’ activities, and live music. You are advised to bring a lawn chair so you can find the perfect viewing spot around the fishing lake.

The world-famous Heeler sisters, Bluey and Bingo, paid a visit to Chrisney and Dale libraries Tuesday afternoon on a brief visit from Down Under. The stars of the hit educational cartoon, Bluey, welcomed a large crowd of devoted fans (including parents) at both libraries. The visit was made possible by Feller Express of Evansville, who also regularly host dinosaur encounters throughout the region.

Paragon 360 Completes Renovations for First Baptist Church, Owensboro, Kentucky
First Baptist Owensboro, KY contracted with Paragon 360 for a full-scope renovation project in early January 2023. The main goals were to update the experience in the main sanctuary while maintaining the architectural beauty and improve the online experience. A desire for better connection to the lobby and an overall improved first-time guest experience were also a the top of the list. Paragon enlisted their architectural design partner, Torgerson Design Partners (TDP) for the architectural work. This was only the second renovation of the 100-year-old worship center. Paragon was able to maintain the existing pneumatic organ chambers and pipes and incorporated them into the design.
