SHARON, Pa., (WKBN) – The annual WaterFire Festival returns to the Shenango River and surrounding areas Saturday. The event begins with an artists’ showcase at 2 p.m. in downtown Sharon where attendees can buy handmade jewelry, pottery, woodwork, paintings, photography and more. There will also be various food vendors.
Monday start for USDA rabies vaccine drops in the Valley
The U.S. Department of Agriculture has announced plans to distribute oral rabies vaccine bait for wildlife in the Valley. The distribution begins July 29th and will run through most of August. The bait is green, contained in a blister pack and scented. The smell attracts wild animals, who eat the bait and are then vaccinated against rabies.
