Men’s Soccer: Hawks Improve to 2-0 in Home Opener
BRISTOL, R.I - The Roger Williams men's soccer team improved to 2-0 with home opening win against Emerson at Bayside Field. The Hawks wasted no time in this one, as the action begin at the 15th minute mark, when a beautiful ball from Liam Blaisdell (Plymouth, Mass.) led to a top shelf finish for senior captain Jack Wildermann (Madison, Conn.), giving the men a 1-0 lead. The lead was quickly expanded three minutes later, when first year Hawk Tyler Jastrab (Townsend, Mass.) found the back of the net for the first goal of his Roger Williams career. The goal came from Andre Caceres (Ossining, N.Y.), who dropped in a timely free kick for Jastrab to finish. Emerson College had a few good looks that they could not cash in on, allowing the Hawks to head into the half with a 2-0 lead.
