Crossing Guard Hit Near Montclair High School, Police Say
A crossing guard struck by a vehicle outside of Montclair High School on Wednesday was taken for medical evaluation, authorities said. The 62-year-old guard was taken to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson to be treated for back pain after being hit at Park and Chestnut streets at about 2:33 p.m., police Lt. Terence Turner said.
