September 2, 2010 went down in Country Music history as the last time Brooks & Dunn would take the stage together as the award winning duo. Turns out the lovers of the duo would get another chance in 2024.
With The Reboot 2024 Tour, Brooks & Dunn will make stops in 22 cities offering fans the chance to sing along to many of their number one hits. The Tour started on May 3, 2024 in West Palm Beach, Fla. and for stop number eight, the famed duo took the stage in Denver, Colo. inside Ball Arena.
ERNEST

The night kicked off right on time with ERNEST taking the stage first. Upbeat songs and toe tapping melodies were the themes for his 30 minutes on stage.
Recounting his relationship with Jelly Roll was one of the highlights of the set for ERNEST. He said the two went way back and made decisions in their lives that ultimately led them together in Country Music. ERNEST decided to go to college and well, Jelly Roll went to jail. Thus, the story behind the song, "I Went to College/I Went to Jail." The crowd enjoyed being responsible for singing the "I Went to Jail" portion of the lyrics given that Jelly Roll wasn't there to play along.
David Lee Murphy

Stepping it up a notch, David Lee Murphy took the stage next. The incredibly talented singer/songwriter jammed out many of his greatest hits whether by songwriting or his own.
Literally every song Murphy performed was word for word being echoed by the crowd. His energy and love for music was evident while he was on stage. Fans went wild when he performed "Big Green Tractor" that he wrote for Jason Aldean. He shared that the idea for the song came to him one night while on his tractor, beer in hand, mowing at his ranch.
Finishing his set with his No. 1 hit, "Dust on the Bottle" left the crowd in a great mood and ready for the headliners.

What better way to kick off Brooks & Dunn's time back on stage than starting with "Brand New Man?" While Brooks is 68 and Dunn is now 70 years old, the pair can still sing and perform with the best of them.
Dunn announced to the crowd in a light-hearted tone that he was a little hoarse and having a hard time finding air in the elevation, but the duo played off each other and jokingly stopped a few times during the set while shaking their head and visibly laughing. Dunn looked at Brooks at one point in the show and said, "Take your time, I still can't find any air anyway."
The crowd loved it and cheered the duo on as they got a drink and continued to play hit after hit.
Proving that he still has "it" Dunn hit some incredible notes throughout the time on stage, clearly enjoying the performance.
Fans were treated to many of the songs we all remember from an era when Brooks & Dunn were the masters of music. Playing songs like, "Put a Girl In It", "You're Gonna Miss Me When I'm Gone", "Red Dirt Road", "Believe" and "My Maria" took concert goers down memory lane and reinforced the incredible mark the pair left on Country Music.
The encore was a fun set when Brooks & Dunn brought ERNEST and David Lee Murphy back on stage for a one song performance and then finished the encore with crowd favorites "Boot Scootin' Boogie" and "Only in America."
The duo might not have the same energy they once had in their prime, but make no mistake, this is a "don't miss" show. Concert goers enjoyed every minute while singing their hearts out to songs they loved and were taken back to memories made years ago.
Kix Brooks playing harmonica.

Kix Brooks can certainly still jam on the harmonica while entertaining the audience and Ronnie Dunn, sporting his classic ball cap (forward for the first few songs, and then classically turned around for the balance), still commands the stage with his sunglasses and denim jacket with his collar up.
For more information about the many stops left on their Reboot 2024 Tour check out their website , and then certainly buy a ticket and go enjoy some "Boot Scootin'" tunes because "Mama Don't Get Dressed Up For Nothing."
