Ticonderoga Area Car Show returns Aug. 4
TICONDEROGA | The 31st Annual Ticonderoga Area Car Show will be held Sunday, Aug. 4, in Ticonderoga’s Percy Thompson Bicentennial Park from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be an array of awards given out, including Fabulous 40, Terrific 25, and Top 10 Tuners. Special awards including Best of Show Car, Best of Show Truck, Best of Show Motorcycle, Best of Show Display, Trail Riders Choice, Fans Choice, Most Radical Engine, Best Color Scheme, Favorite Antique, Best Work In Progress, and Most Likely To Get Pulled Over will also be given out. The show is a judged show. Vt. police departments issue warning about scam calls
SHELBURNE, Vt. (WCAX) - Some Vermont police agencies are asking the public to keep an eye out for scam calls. Authorities in Shelburne and Orange County say they have received reports about a man claiming to be a police officer trying to convince people over the phone that they had outstanding warrants or that they needed to contact departments about an “urgent legal matter.”
