    Vehicle crash into pole causes power outage for hundreds of West Sacramento residents

    (FOX40.COM) — Around 425 customers in West Sacramento have been without power since early morning on Wednesday after a vehicle crashed into a pole , according to PG&E.

    The outage was reported at 4:26 a.m. and affects the area south of Highway 50 and along Park Blvd. and Deerwood St.

    This afternoon’s high temperature in West Sacramento is expected to be 101°F.

    PG&E is expecting power to be restored by 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

    West Sacramento Police said people affected by the outage could go to the following air-conditioned locations for water, restrooms and electricity, however, only service animals will be allowed:

    • West Sacramento Recreation Center, 2801 Jefferson Blvd.
    Mon-Fri: 5:30 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.
    Sat & Sun: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
    • Arthur F. Turner Community Library, 1212 Merkley Ave.
    Mon-Sat: 11:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
    • West Sacramento Community Center, 1075 West Capitol Ave.
    Mon-Fri: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
