Basically, it’ll turn more into the NFL, which is what Finebaum said was the point of the bigger bracket. He and fellow ESPN analyst Heather Dinich argued the regular season will mean even more this […] The post Paul Finebaum: Dabo Swinney comments on ‘unintended consequences’ of 12-team CFP are ‘just plain dumb’ appeared first on On3.

Clemson adds All-American transfer Brook Melnychuk
Clemson softball has officially announced its roster additions for the 2024-25 season, featuring several notable transfers. The new class is highlighted by right-handed pitcher Brook Melnychuk from Louisiana Tech. Melnychuk brings an impressive resume, including being named the ICCAC Pitcher of the Year in 2021 and earning Second Team NJCAA All-American honors the same year. In 2024, Melnychuk posted a 2.77 ERA with 13 wins over 36 appearances and 20 starts. Joining Melnychuk are Reese Basinger, a right-handed pitcher from Winthrop, and Jamison Brockenbrough, an outfielder from Tennessee. As the entire college football world knows, Dabo Swinney and the Clemson football program are not heavily involved in the transfer portal. By not heavily involved, I mean pretty much involved at all. The Tigers rarely take a transfer and when they do, it’s in a low impact role. A role you won’t see on the field, typically quarterback depth. Love it or hate it, that’s Clemson football right now. Even if they aren’t taking transfers, it doesn’t mean they’re not considering it. During Swinney’s Media Outing at the Allen Reeves Football Complex on Tuesday, defensive ends coach Chris Rumph discussed the...
