Viroqua man injured after car runs intersection, into parking lot of area business
VIROQUA, Wis. – Vernon County Sheriff Roy Torgerson reports a single-vehicle crash occurred early Sunday morning, July 14, 2024, in rural Viroqua, in the town of Viroqua. The Sheriff’s Office says at approximately 2:00 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office 911 Dispatch Center was notified of the crash. The Sheriff’s report states that Colton William Anderson, 20, of rural Viroqua, was driving south on State Highway 82 and went through the intersection of State Highway 56 and crossed both the west and eastbound lanes. The vehicle then went off the south side of Highway 56, traveled down an embankment into the parking lot of Sheldon’s Auto Wrecking and struck a fence and a gate.

Is. – The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office is reporting the arrest of 58-year-old man from Arena, Wis. after he allegedly tried to use a counterfeit $100 to make purchases on Readstown earlier this month. According to Vernon County Sheriff Roy Torgerson reports the arrest of David A. Verdick, 58, of Arena as the result of an incident that occurred in Readstown on Thursday afternoon, July 11.
