Good morning — Thousands of jobs are open in Connecticut’s submarine building sector. Reps. John Larson and Joe Courtney (D-CT) have launched a campaign called “Hire Hartford” to match workers to employers, like Electric Boat in Groton. Last year, Electric Boat hired more than 5,000 people. They’re hoping to do the same this year.
Stonington to vote on capping Portuguese Holy Ghost Society's property taxes

Jul. 19—PRESTON — The Public Works Department has identified about 100 roadside trees that are dead or dying and will be cut down beginning July 29. The trees are victims of insect and past gypsy moth caterpillar infestations.
