Tyson O’Brien, One of the Veterans Returning for the Atlantic Football Team

(Atlantic) The Atlantic football team returns a lot of experience from last year’s squad, and one of those players is Tyson O’Brien, a linebacker and running back. As a junior, he recorded 29 tackles, 25 of which were solos, and sprinkled in 29 carries as a backup running back.

O’Brien says preseason practices have gone well.

O’Brien expects more action at the running back spot this season.

O’Brien, a returning linebacker, says a newcomer is turning some heads in preseason practice.

Coach Brummer released an early-season depth chart, and several players, including Jake Wailes, Joaquin Wailes, Roland Hinman, Hank Roberts, Eian Sorensen, Drevin Smith, and Zander Pieken, are vying for the starting linebacker spots.

The Trojans open the season on Friday, August 23, at home against Council Bluffs, Jefferson.
