(Atlantic) Atlantic takes a 2-0 record to non-district foe Glenwood on Friday night. The Trojans topped Council Bluffs, Jefferson, 48-30 in week zero, and Clarke 62-7 last week. Glenwood suffered a 41-14 to Sioux City, East last week.

Atlantic Head Coach Joe Brummer says the most significant improvement comes between week one and week two, and he knows Glenwood will make some adjustments. This game will undoubtedly be the toughest test for Atlantic in this young season.

Coach Brummer says the Rams will certainly have a size advantage up front on Friday night.

Coach Brummer is impressed with Rams quarterback Cole Staudt’s arm strength.

Glenwood linebacker Brody Shafer is the Rams leader on defense. The senior three-year starter recorded 6.5 tackles last week with three solos.

Atlantic has run 84 plays in its first two games, all but seven of which have been running plays. Atlantic quarterback Tristan Hayes has been efficient in the few times he has thrown the ball. The senior is five of seven for 162 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions.

The kick-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. We will broadcast the game on 95.7 F.M. and live-stream it on westerniowatoday.com. The pre-game show starts at 6:00 p.m.
