Westfield Fourth of July Parade 2024
WESTFIELD, Maine (WAGM) - The town of Westfield’s 4th of July parade took place at Corey Park Thursday morning. This was the second year Westfield held a town parade. The line up left from Corey park continued down Burleigh Road. Participants waved from the parade, engaging the crowd. The sound of car horns and cheering filled the air as the floats, antique cars and atv’s came down the road, ending near the town’s post office. Refreshments were also served for everyone to enjoy before and after the parade.

Presque Isle Hands Out Emergency Weather Kits
PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (WAGM) - The city of Presque Isle has constructed emergency weather kits that are available for residents at city hall. The city has several of these kits available and is giving them away on a first come first served basis. Aroostook County experiences extreme weather regularly and the city of Presque Isle has made emergency weather kits available to help residents cope with extreme weather situations. One reason Presque Isle has decided to distribute these kits is to inform residents about file of life forms. Which are used to relay your medical information to first responders.
The Elks Host 4th of July in Presque Isle
PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (WAGM) - Folks in Presque Isle were enjoying some Fourth of July activities outside, thanks to the Presque Isle Elks Lodge. The Elks Lodge held their 18th annual July 4th Community Celebration. This event originally started back in 2006 because Elk members, Dana Dickson and Alan Harding, noticed a lack of events going on in the city during this holiday.

Meeting to form Fish and Game Association — A meeting was held Tuesday evening in the office of Ralph K. Wood, Esq., in the Star-Herald Block, for the purpose of discussing the advisability of forming a Fish and Game Association in Presque Isle. After a full discussion, a committee was appointed to draw up rules and by-laws as follows: George T. Noyes, J. A. Riley and E. Howard. The committee to report at a later meeting. Another committee was appointed to canvas the town for signatures to a referendum partition on the “one-deer law.”
