Palm Beach County can't afford Sheriff Ric Bradshaw's exorbitant retirement perks.
What an eye-opening piece about Sheriff Ric Bradshaw and his “creative” ways of doling out huge bonuses without breaking any state laws but seemingly very unethical. By dumping thousands of hours in employees’ vacation and sick time banks, they get to cash them in on their way out the door, collecting hundreds of thousands of dollars. Former Chief Deputy Michael Gauger received $743,000 in addition to the $110,000 for unused sick and vacation time. According to the Post, no other top brass in any other sheriff’s office has such an unscrupulous program. Since it’s we the taxpayers paying this grift, it’s reason enough to make sure Bradshaw has to go in the next election and the incoming sheriff has to abandon these programs. Taxpayers should demand accountability.
