Attempt to escape burning Shawnee home leads to pedestrian-vehicle collision
SHAWNEE, Kan. (KCTV) - An attempt to escape a burning Shawnee home sent one woman to a nearby hospital after she was hit by a car. The Shawnee, Kansas, Fire Department says that just before 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, emergency crews were called to the 7700 block of Nieman Rd., near Advance Auto Parts, with reports of a house fire. Walk-In Enrollment, Back to School Fair Tuesday
Walk-in enrollment at Salina Public Schools is scheduled for this week, along with the Saline County Back to School Fair. Barton Co. currently unable to process motor vehicle transactions
At this time, the State of Kansas is not able to process any motor vehicle transactions. Included in the outage is the Barton County Treasurer’s Office. However, the Treasurer’s Office is open for business and can process other work, including tax payments. As a reminder, the Treasurer is now located in Suite 107, on the first floor, of the Courthouse.
