Monroe schools receive mental health funding
Governor Ned Lamont and Education Commissioner Charlene Russell-Tucker announced the release of more than $2 million in grants for 36 school districts and summer camp programs across Connecticut that will be used to support the delivery of mental health programming for students during the summer months over the next two years.

Area Residents Named Top Student-Athletes at The Harvey School
KATONAH, N.Y. - Junior Ryan Byrne of Katonah and sophomore Casey Kelly of South Salem have been selected as the top student-athletes of the spring term at The Harvey School. WCSU On Path To 'Stability'
Western Connecticut State University is on a path toward stability, according to the school’s interim President, who outlined a multipronged approach to achieve financial stability after years of declining enrollment. This includes increasing enrollment of graduate and international students and boosting on-campus housing. There has reportedly been a 29% rise in transfer student deposits and a 40% increase in on-campus housing deposits. The university projects balanced budgets for fiscal years 2024 and 2025, despite reliance on short-term state and federal funds.
Shapers of the World Class at Greenwich High School is in Its Own Renaissance Era
For over 30 years, Greenwich High School has offered the Shapers of the World class, an interdisciplinary course that includes a rigorous English course taught by Mrs. Melissa Brown and an art history class taught by Mr. Ben Quesnel.
