Woman, 36, pleads guilty to murdering parents
A 36-year-old woman has pleaded guilty to the murder of her parents.Virginia McCullough appeared by prison video-link before Chelmsford Crown Court on Thursday and pleaded guilty to the murders of John and Lois McCullough, who were both aged in their 70s.The defendant, of Pump Hill, Chelmsford, Essex, admitted killing the pair between June 17 2019 and June 20 2019.McCullough, who wore a grey top when she appeared via video-link, spoke to confirm her name, to enter pleas of guilty to both counts and say she understood the judge’s comments.McCullough will be sentenced on October 10 and 11.Judge Christopher Morgan said:...

Driver charged with DUI after two-vehicle crash in Bridport
BRIDPORT — A Bridport man faces charges of driving under the influence following a two-vehicle crash on Vermont Route 22a early Sunday morning. Luis Sotero, 29, was driving north on Route 22a near the intersection with Route 125 at approximately 1:31 a.m. when his 2008 Subaru Impreza crossed the centerline and collided with a southbound 2018 Freightliner Cascadia truck, according to Vermont State Police.
