    Public invited to meeting on proposed Hornell roadwork

    HORNELL, N.Y. ( WETM ) — The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) is giving the Hornell community a chance to learn about a proposed project along state Route 36.

    NYSDOT engineers will be at the Hornell Senior High School, located at 134 Seneca St., between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. for a public meeting on the proposed project. The project would take place along state Route 36 between Broadway in the City of Hornell and Webb’s Crossing Road in the Town of Hornellsville.

    More bridge work coming up in Steuben County

    The engineers will be giving a presentation of options for the project in the high school auditorium, and an open-house session in the cafeteria will follow. Anyone who would like to give their opinions on the project will be able to do so either in person or through a written statement.

    Registration is not required for this public meeting. Anyone who will need accommodations at the meeting or who would like more information about the meeting should send an email to Route36Corridor@dot.ny.gov.
