BATH, N.Y. ( WETM ) — A Bath man was arrested on Sunday after police said he fled from officers in the village.

According to the Village of Bath Police Department, 22-year-old Isaiah L. Conklin-Griffin was arrested on Sunday, Aug. 18, on the charge of unlawful fleeing of a police officer in the third degree, a class A misdemeanor and 18 traffic tickets for violations within the Village of Bath.

Police said that Conklin-Griffin was riding a 2012 Yamaha motorcycle on Cameron Street in Bath when police attempted to do a traffic stop on him. The report says that Conklin-Griffin failed to pull over and a pursuit began.

Conklin-Griffin took police on a chase towards the Town of Cameron, with units stopping the pursuit because of Conklin-Griffin’s reckless driving. The report says that the chase started again when Conklin-Griffin came back into the Village of Bath.

Police called off the pursuit again on East Washington Street and May Street, but got several 911 calls reporting the motorcycle was at a residence on East Washington Street Extension.

Police said Conklin-Griffin was found and arrested while the motorcycle was impounded.
