WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. ( WETM ) – The Community Dispute Resolution Center is hosting its second annual Hike-A-Thon fundraiser on the first weekend of September to raise money for its efforts to provide constructive conflict resolution services to certain counties in the Southern Tier.

The fundraiser, themed “Journey to the Table,” will take place on Sept. 6 and 7, featuring two types of hikes for hikers to participate in.

Participants can choose between an overnight 42-mile hike on the Finger Lakes Trail from Ithaca to Watkins Glen and a 12-mile day hike on the Catharine Valley Trail from Millport to Watkins Glen. Both hikes will end at Clute Park on Sept. 7.

All funds raised from the event will benefit the CDRC. This local non-profit serves Chemung, Tompkins and Schuyler counties by providing services to the community to promote conflict resolution. These services include, but are not limited to, conflict coaching and mediation.
