    Flood Aid Concert raises over $5K for Tioga County, PA flood victims

    WELLSBORO, Pa. ( WETM ) – The Flood Aid Concert hosted last week by an a cappella group in Wellsboro raised a little over $5,000 to support the victims of the Aug. 9 flood in Tioga County, Pennsylvania.

    The concert took place on Friday, Aug. 30, at the Coolidge Theatre at the Deane Center for the Performing Arts. Pine Pitch A Capella performed at the concert, which garnered over 150 people and raised $3,404.48 in cash and check donations. After factoring in the electronic contributions made in advance of the concert, the total amount raised came out to $5,034.48.

    Flood Aid Concert to be held in Wellsboro

    According to the organizer of the concert, Kacy Hagan, who is also a member of the a cappella group, many people volunteered their time and resources to make the concert a success.

    All of the funds that have been collected will be used to benefit the flood remediation efforts in Tioga County, Pennsylvania. If you’re interested in donating, you can visit tiogapartnership.org or call 570-723-0520.
