    Citrus County K-9 dies after 7 years of service

    CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A beloved K-9, who worked with the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office for more than seven years, has died.

    K-9 Repo worked with the sheriff’s officer as a Patrol and Narcotics K-9. During his career, Repo and his partner conducted 5,280 traffic stops, seized nearly 908 grams of methamphetamine, and completed 192 tracks.

    “Thank you, K9 Repo, for your dedication and loyalty to serving the citizens of Citrus County, and thank you for protecting your handler for nearly 14 years,” the sheriff’s office wrote.

    K-9 Repo retired in 2019 and continued to live with his handler, whom he was with for nearly 14 years.
