TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A man was arrested Tuesday in connection to the stabbing death of Angel Snell, a 26-year-old woman whose body was left at a construction site in Winter Haven last month.

Kenneth Lawrence Foresyth, Jr., 21, was charged with second-degree murder, among other offenses, in connection to the incident.

Foresyth was caught on camera running away from the construction site, according to Winter Haven police. When asked why he was running, Foresyth reportedly told detectives he had a pebble in his shoe.

He confirmed he was the man shown on security camera footage and photos from the night of Snell’s death, police said. Officers spoke with his employer, who said that he was supposed to be at work that night.

Police said Foresyth told them he was in the shipping container where Snell’s body was found. He started a small fire outside before Snell approached and then stabbed her multiple times, according to police.

A witness then carried her to Inman Park, where a bystander let him use their cellphone to call 911. Foresyth left the area and got rid of the knife and clothing he was wearing.

Foresyth was charged with second-degree murder, false report to law enforcement and tampering with evidence.
