TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who robbed a grocery store in Tampa earlier this month.

On the morning of Aug. 9, an armed man was caught on video entering the 29th Street Grocery store located at 2802 North 29th Street.

Once inside, he pointed a gun at the cashier and demanded money. Police said the employee was not injured in the robbery.

Detectives released the video in hopes someone in the community would recognize the man, who was using a black tee shirt to cover most of his head. He was also wearing black and gray camouflage shorts and black Nike slides. He had a scar on his abdomen, investigators said.

The man fled on a bicycle, traveling north on 29th Street.

Anyone with information is being asked to call Tampa police at 813-231-6130.
