    Multiple people hospitalized in carbon monoxide incident at Florida high school

    TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Multiple people have been hospitalized after a “carbon monoxide incident” at a high school in South Florida on Friday, NBC affiliate WTVJ reports .

    City officials in Weston said multiple people reported experiencing lightheadedness while inside the cafeteria at Cypress Bay High School.

    Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue officials said more than five people were taken to Cleveland Clinic but did not say if they were employees or students.

    Aerial footage from WTVJ showed rescue workers assisting multiple people outside of the cafeteria. Two hazmat teams were ventilating the building after it was evacuated, officials said on X.
