PALM BAY, Fla. (WFLA) — A teacher at Sunrise Elementary School is facing charges of child abuse, the Palm Bay Police Department said Friday.

On Thursday, 41-year-old Beatriz Rapisarda was arrested after an investigation into allegations involving a student in an intellectually disabled class.

Rapisarda allegedly pushed the student and restrained them by their wrists, according to witnesses in the classroom.
