Showers will taper off after 10 pm on your Sunday as the sky becomes mostly clear overnight. Temperatures Monday morning will start out in the upper 70s. Rain comes earlier Monday around the middle of the day and lingering through the evening with highs in the lower 90s.

Scattered storms continue to arrive during the early afternoon and evening hours Tuesday as this pattern will stay with us through Thursday. Lows will remain in the upper 70s with highs in the low 90s.

A front lingers to our north late in the week which means storms could arrive earlier starting on Friday and lasting into next weekend as highs remain near average, in the low 90s.

There are a couple areas we are watching in the tropics. One in the northern Gulf that isn’t expected to strengthen as it brings rain to the Texas coast. The other tropical wave we will watch closely as it is expected to develop into a depression sometime next week as it moves through the Caribbean. Forecast models take this system into the Gulf, but it appears to stay away from Florida. Another wave is expected to move off the African coast and move into the central Atlantic. It doesn’t look like any of these will impact oiur area.
