    Florida police searching for puppy thief who fled pet store with dog in hoodie

    FORT MYERS, Fla. (WFLA) — Police are searching for a man who they said stole a puppy from a Fort Myers pet store and concealed it in a hoodie on Thursday.

    The Fort Myers Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the man who entered the Pet Kingdom around 11:45 a.m. and removed a black and grey Maltipoo puppy.

    The man reportedly put the dog in a blue hoodie before leaving the store in an unknown direction.

    Anyone who witnessed the incident or can identify the man or his whereabouts is asked to call the department at 239-321-770.
